They’re now on the lookout for a Team Leader – someone who can guide a great team, provide outstanding service to international partners, and still enjoy being hands-on in creating seamless travel experiences across New Zealand.
About the Role:
As Team Leader, you’ll supervise the day-to-day operations of the team while also managing your own portfolio of files and clients. This is a varied role where you’ll balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on consulting - ensuring workflow runs smoothly, service levels are met, and profitability is maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing workflow and daily distribution of files to ensure service turnaround targets are met
- Supporting the General Manager – Operations with system and process improvements to drive efficiency
- Providing leadership support with issue resolution (disruptions, customer complaints, etc.)
- Developing and delivering quality itineraries for international agents across key markets
- Ensuring quotations, itineraries, and documentation are accurate, timely, and professional
- Overseeing operational activities to standardise processes and ensure excellent customer service
- Building strong relationships with agents, suppliers, and internal teams to maximise sustainability and growth
- Assisting with supplier negotiations and contributing ideas for continuous improvement and new opportunities
About You:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment and enjoys balancing leadership with hands-on delivery.
You will bring:
- Experience in travel and tourism with strong knowledge of New Zealand product and/or previous team leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, support, and build strong relationships.
- Strong planning, organisational, and customer service abilities, with great attention to detail and reliability.
- Positive, friendly attitude with sound judgment, common-sense decision-making, and a collaborative team approach.
- Professional, punctual, and well-presented, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Full, clean driver’s licence and permanent New Zealand residency.
