About the Role: 
Joining the Business Administration team, this is a broad role that blends accounts payable, inventory management and logistics coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play an essential part in ensuring that products are consistently available for customers, while maintaining smooth financial processes for their growing business.

Hours: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Location – Henderson Valley 
Note: Occasional weekend day to attend baby expo’s (3-5 per year)

Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile invoices for stock, services, and consumables; ensure statements are balanced for the monthly payment run; manage supplier credits, outstanding purchase orders, freight, and customs charges.
  • Purchase from key domestic suppliers, maintain purchase orders, receipt stock accurately, and ensure core products remain in stock.
  • Lead stock takes, oversee stock process improvements, and coordinate with Production and Sales teams on ordering, promotions, and events.
  • Provide inventory reporting and profitability analysis, support forecasting, and deliver insights on sales trends.
  • Assist the Production Team with inventory reporting and planning to align stock levels with demand.
  • Perform reconciliations across all banking types, and prepare domestic and international payments for approval.
  • Partner with the Business Administration Manager and wider teams to streamline processes and deliver timely information that supports decision-making.

About You: 
You’ll be a detail-focused, analytical professional with a passion for numbers and a proactive mindset when it comes to solving problems. You excel in fast-paced, team-driven environments, comfortably juggling multiple tasks without compromising on accuracy. Your experience in accounts payable and inventory management, combined with strong organisational skills, will play a key role in supporting The Sleep Store’s ongoing success. You’ll also share a genuine passion for the company’s mission and what they do!

Experience:
  • Confident with Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Background in inventory management with a focus on maintaining accurate stock levels and improving processes (highly desirable).
  • Experience in logistics or manufacturing industries (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, freight management, and stock flow (highly desirable).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a collaborative and team-focused approach.
  • Process-driven, proactive, and motivated to take ownership of the role.
