About the Role:

We’re looking for experienced Claims Consultants to start ASAP during a busy period and provide end-to-end support on travel insurance claims. This is a full-time, temporary position until 24th December working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.

In this role, you'll manage a high volume of travel insurance claims from customers across New Zealand and Australia. You’ll assess each claim based on policy wording, gather and interpret relevant information, and make fair and timely decisions. Clear and empathetic communication with customers and third parties is key, ensuring a consistently high standard of service. You'll also work within regulatory and internal policy frameworks to ensure compliance throughout the process.

About You:

You’ll bring prior experience in travel insurance claims or claims experience in a similar general insurance setting, with confidence in navigating policy wording and handling end-to-end claims. You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping customers through challenging situations.
*Please note, we can only consider notice periods of 1 week or less for this role.

  • Proven experience in insurance claims assessment (travel highly desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Confidence working with systems and making sound decisions independently
